I’ve helped my friend deal with crippling depression for a year now, and he still refuses to help himself - it’s like he doesn’t want to get better. It wouldn’t be so bad, except that I’ve run into a horrible mess of relationship and family issues, and could really do with some help and support of my own. At least he could fix his own problem if he only applied his mind to it.

I do not know how to respond to this. The photo has the word “problems” in quotes. Phrases like “crippling depression” aren’t usually glossed over by being put in between quotation marks. But I don’t know, that’s just me.
